The purpose of Open Door Community is to provide an environment and opportunities where

participants pursue healthy relationships, spiritual growth, and real discipleship.

BIG CHURCH, SMALL COMMUNITY

We believe the church is the family of God called to live on mission to advance His Kingdom. Because we are God's children through Jesus, we are to live as brothers and sisters. The church is not a building, place, or program, but God's people. Living in community with one another is essential to growing in the Gospel and becoming more like Christ. Showing up to a Sunday gathering is great, but it is our desire to see everyone involved in Open Door Community.

We have been created to live in community and not in isolation. Physically, we do live in a community, but spiritually, socially, and relationally we often live our lives in isolation. We find ourselves with no one to turn to when we have a major issue that has just surfaced in our life. Thus, we intentionally strive toward community through men's/women's groups, home gatherings (life groups), and other small group discipleship settings.

AND LET US CONSIDER HOW WE MAY SPUR ONE ANOTHER ON TOWARD LOVE AND GOOD DEEDS. LET US NOT GIVE UP MEETING TOGETHER, AS SOME ARE IN THE HABIT OF DOING, BUT LET US ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER - AND ALL THE MORE AS YOU SEE THE DAY APPROACHING. Heb 10:24-25

Explanation of Life Groups

The Mission of Open Door Church is to Love God, Love Each Other, and Reach the World. Life Groups are an integral part of ‘Love Each Other’. We believe that sustained life change occurs as we grow in our relationship with Christ. This happens best when we are prioritizing intentional relationships with others who are seeking the same goal.
